XII-EU-TEACH Explores Innovative Education in Palermo
The 21st Century European Teachers project addresses the rapid changes in European societies due to climate change and digitalization, highlighting the need for schools to adapt to these shifts to prepare students for the future
Through study visits and teaching events, the project aims to support teachers in developing digital and sustainable transition skills, focusing on four emerging areas: technological empowerment, environmental sustainability, entrepreneurship, and playful learning.
A recent visit in Palermo showcased innovative teaching approaches, such as playful learning and bio-architecture projects, aimed at fostering creative and critical thinking, communication skills, and inclusion among students. These activities demonstrated alternative methodologies to traditional lectures, emphasizing transversal skill development. Students worked together to solve challenges like extraterrestrial relocation and presented sustainable school designs. See how language and art education came together to enhance students' cognitive skills and independence.
The success of the visit paves the way for the co-development of unique learning modules in collaboration with European teachers, ensuring an innovative educational approach tailored to future generations' needs.
